    MINDFUL CHOICES

In keeping in line with our sustainability goals please note we do not provide milk upon arrival. We understand there is diversity of taste where milk is concerned and with so many options on the market these days we ask you to please pick up your favourite so your cup of tea or coffee will be just the way you like it.

    DINING

In New Zealand’s smaller towns, restaurants close earlier with optimum dinner reservations between 6:00 – 8:30pm.

If arriving after 8pm, consider dining beforehand or grabbing supplies from New World supermarket (open until 9pm) to enjoy a home-cooked meal in our fully equipped kitchen.

  • WIFI Network: ENCHANTED
    WIFI Password: fabulous!

A little note for your stay at Enchanted:

Because Enchanted is so beautifully tucked away and surrounded by nature, mobile reception can be a little patchy at times. To stay connected with ease, we recommend logging onto the property Wi-Fi as soon as you arrive so you can still stay in touch even when cell signal drops out.

  • Your Morning Coffee, Your Way

Every great day starts with a good fix - and at Host’d, we believe it’s the little details that make all the difference. That’s why your stay includes not just one, but three coffee options to suit your style:

    • A classic plunger for slow mornings

    • A Nespresso machine

    • A Breville espresso machine for a barista-style brew

Whether it’s a quiet solo moment or a shared cup before the day begins, we’ve made sure your morning coffee is well taken care of.

  • Welcome to Your Home Away from Home!

We’ve poured a lot of heart into designing these spaces for you to enjoy and make your own. We kindly ask that you treat the home and its amenities with the same care and kindness you would your own.

Family-Friendly: Our homes are perfect for little ones under 12. Please take care to keep plants and delicate items out of reach if needed.

Guests: Unregistered guests are welcome by invitation - just let us know in advance.

TV & Personal Accounts: If you log into any streaming apps, please don’t forget to sign out to keep your information secure.

Using the Outdoor Bath: Please avoid using any soaps, shampoos, or chemicals here.

The waste water flows directly into the garden nourishing the plants and we’re grateful for your help in keeping it fresh and natural.

No Smoking: To keep our spaces fresh, please refrain from smoking indoors.

Candle-Free Home: We kindly ask to please avoid using candles for your safety.

Thank you for your cooperation, and from all of us at Host’d - enjoy your stay!

  • Kitchen - Gas Bottle

The kitchen runs on a gas bottle. If it happens to run out during your stay, there’s a spare bottle stored in the large box nearby, ready to switch over.

Please refer to the photo here to help you locate it easily:

IMPORTANT: Always keep the cover on when not in use to maintain the optimum 40°C temperature and prevent debris buildup.

Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy your stay under the amazing New Zealand starry sky at Enchanted!

  • A Little Note of Care

Enchanted is supported by a lovingly maintained septic system, and we kindly ask that only the laundry detergents and kitchen liquids we’ve provided are used during your stay. These have been carefully chosen to protect the system and the natural environment that surrounds us.

To keep everything running smoothly, please ensure that only toilet paper is flushed down the toilet. Sanitary items should be placed in the bathroom bins provided, as the system isn’t designed to handle anything beyond toilet paper. We also ask that guests don’t stand on the toilet seat, as this can cause damage.

These small acts of care make a big difference and help avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and for helping us look after Enchanted.

  • Rubbish, Trash, Glass & Recycling

You’ll find the bins to the left of the garage by the woodshed.

    • Big blue bin – General waste

    • Green bins – Recycling

    • Small blue bin – Glass only

Travelling with little ones? If you’re using nappies, we kindly ask that these are not placed in our bins at the property. Instead, please dispose of them in the bins provided at New World supermarket or at the Hau Hau Road Recycling Centre.

Thank you for your support and keeping Enchanted tidy and sustainable!

  • So Do We! 🌿

At Host’d, we take great pride in our green spaces, caring for hundreds of plants across our properties. Each one has been lovingly propagated, nurtured, and placed with purpose, creating a fresh, vibrant atmosphere while naturally filtering the air for you to enjoy.

While they may not always look picture-perfect, each leaf tells a story of growth and resilience. To keep them thriving, we kindly ask that you avoid watering or tampering with them - they’re on a special care schedule tailored to their needs.

We also ask that small children be kept away from the plants, as little hands can be curious, and some species may be fragile or sensitive to touch.

By admiring rather than adjusting, you’re helping us maintain a healthy, balanced ecosystem within our homes. Thank you for letting our plants do what they do best- bringing life and beauty to your stay! 🌱✨

  • CHECK OUT 9:45AM

Our housekeepers are the real heartbeat of our company and they do a brilliant job so please help respect their demanding schedule.

To ensure a smooth departure please aim for 9:45am, this then gives you an extra 15 minutes should you need it to be out of the property by 10am when our housekeepers arrive.

Turn off lights, close windows and doors, and return keys to the lockbox and scramble code.

Wash and put away dishes or start the dishwasher with enough time for the cycle to finish for the housekeeper.

NOTE: Please avoid putting frying pans or cookware in the dishwasher - it can damage their non-stick surface and shorten their lifespan. We kindly ask that these items be hand washed only.

Leave used towels in the bathroom (please do not put into the washing machines as our lovely linens are hired).

Log out of any personal accounts on TV apps for security.

Check for belongings so nothing special gets left behind.

If you have perishable items that are worth sharing please leave them in the fridge or on the bench.

If you've moved furniture, kindly return it to its original spot.

We know accidents happen - if there are any accidental damages please let us know so we can address the issue before our future guests arrival.

If you have early travel plans and are vacating the property earlier than check out it’s lovely to let us know so we may pass onto the team. This may allow them to start a wee bit earlier and means we may offer an earlier check in when requested.

Please take a minute to leave us a review - we'd love to hear about the favourite memory of your stay.

Designed for endless refills, they benefit both you and our housekeeping team.

Our cleaning products are sourced from a local West Coast company, reducing transport impact and supporting our community.

We kindly ask you to leave the forever bottles behind so they can continue their journey towards a waste-free, more sustainable future.
