Access and lockbox Your keys and arrival instructions

Your access code will be emailed to you the morning prior to your arrival.

The lockbox is located to the right of the front door. Enter the code, pull the wee black lever down, then pull the lockbox open to reveal the keys.

As you have reserved the entire property, the internal door between downstairs and upstairs will be left open. Should it close and lock, the access code is 1678.

The other door at the bottom of the stairs leads to the garage. This remains locked as it is private owner storage.

Dining and late arrivals A helpful note for smaller-town evenings

In New Zealand’s smaller towns, restaurants often close earlier. The best dinner reservation window is generally between 6:00 and 8:30 pm.

For arrivals after 8:00 pm, consider dining beforehand or picking up supplies from New World supermarket, which is open until 9:00 pm, to enjoy a relaxed meal in the fully equipped kitchen.

Traffic and travel Live road conditions for your journey

West Coast roads are beautiful and can be changeable. Please allow a little extra time and check live conditions before travelling.

Your morning fix Coffee Supreme, ready to plunge

Every great day starts with a good fix. We’ve left Coffee Supreme for your morning plunger, chosen for both the quality of its coffee and its community-minded spirit.

If the taste lingers long after your stay, Coffee Supreme ships worldwide, making it easy to revisit a little piece of your West Coast morning from home.

Mindful choices A note about milk

In keeping with our sustainability goals, we do not provide milk on arrival. With so many preferences and options available, we ask that you pick up your favourite so your tea or coffee is just the way you like it.

Our house rules A few thoughtful ways to care for the home

We’ve poured a lot of heart into designing these spaces. Please treat the home and its amenities with the same care and kindness you would your own.

  • Family-friendly: Our homes are well suited to little ones under 12. Please keep delicate items and plants safely out of reach where needed.
  • Guests: Unregistered guests are welcome by invitation. Please let us know in advance.
  • Streaming: If you sign into personal TV accounts, please remember to sign out before leaving.
  • No smoking: Please refrain from smoking indoors.
  • Candle-free home: Please avoid using candles for everyone’s safety.
Using the outdoor bath Keeping the garden fresh and natural

Please avoid using soaps, shampoos or chemicals in the outdoor bath.

The wastewater flows directly into the garden, nourishing the plants, and we’re grateful for your help in keeping it fresh and natural.

Our much-loved plants Please admire rather than adjust

At Host’d, we care for hundreds of plants across our properties. Each has been propagated, nurtured and placed with purpose to bring life and freshness to the home.

Please avoid watering, moving or tampering with them, as they follow a care schedule tailored to their needs. We also ask that small children are kept away from delicate plants.

By admiring rather than adjusting, you’re helping us maintain a healthy little ecosystem within the home.
