Welcome to our Wine Library…
A little nook of discovery and delight. Here, you'll find a small rotating selection of wines, handpicked by fellow guests, locals, and kindred spirits. You're invited to pour a glass, try something new, and leave a bottle of your own behind.
The library is built on trust, generosity, and curiosity - just like the best conversations shared over a good bottle.
How It Works
Feel free to enjoy a bottle during your stay - just be sure to replace it with something lovely of your own choice - local, special, or a personal favourite is always appreciated.
If you’d prefer not to replace it, no worries at all - we’ll simply add the bill to your reservation via Airbnb after your stay.
We ask that you leave the selection equal or better than you found it to keep the magic going for the next guests.
Pop a note in the Wine Library Journal! Tell us what you brought, what you loved, or what stories were shared over your bottle. We’d love to know.
Thank you for being part of something a little special.
With warmth,
Claire, Sandy & the Host’d Team
Now let’s meet our cheeky contenders…
-
Esk Valley Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec 2022
A bold Hawke’s Bay beauty from the renowned Gimblett Gravels, this rich red blend is like a well-tailored suit with muddy boots - classy, but not afraid to get a little wild.
With Merlot bringing the plush berries, Cabernet Sauvignon adding structure and spice, and Malbec lending its deep, inky charm, this 2022 vintage is ready for fireside conversations, slow roasts, or just a cheeky night in. One sip and you’ll know - Esk Valley doesn’t muck around.
-
Hãhã Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris 2024
Light-hearted by name but seriously good in the glass, this Pinot Gris from sunny Hawke’s Bay is all juicy pear, baked apple, and a hint of spice - like a fruit bowl with a wink. Smooth, off-dry, and beautifully balanced, it’s the kind of wine that goes with everything from picnic spreads to cheeky giggles on the deck. Hãhã 2024 brings the fun without missing a beat.
-
Dashwood Marlborough Rosé 2023
Delicate but far from dull, this Rosé flirts with notes of wild berries, white peach, and a dash of citrus zip—think blush pink with a bit of sass. Hailing from the cool Marlborough hills, it’s crisp, dry, and dangerously refreshing. Perfect for garden parties, long lunches, or just treating yourself because, well, why not? Dashwood 2023 proves that pretty in pink can still pack a punch.
-
Leftfield Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2023
Zesty, lively, and just a little bit rebellious, this Marlborough Sauv Blanc breaks out of the box with juicy passionfruit, lime zest, and a whisper of fresh herbs. Leftfield by name and nature, it’s the kind of crisp, vibrant drop that practically sings of summer and dares you to pour another glass. Ideal for seafood, sunshine, and spontaneous good times—it’s Sauvignon, but not as you know it
-
St. Huberts The Stag Chardonnay
Bold, buttery, and just the right amount of boujee, The Stag strides confidently into the Chardonnay scene with ripe stone fruit, toasty oak, and a creamy finish that lingers like a good yarn by the fire. It’s a modern Aussie classic - polished but not pretentious - perfect for pairing with roast chook, golden sunsets, or a cheeky midweek celebration. A true crowd-pleaser that proves even stags can be smooth.
-
THE NED ROSÉ 2023
Pretty in pink and proud of it, The Ned Rosé 2023 is the kind of drop that turns a casual sip into a full-blown sunset moment. Bursting with bright strawberries, a hint of watermelon, and just the right zing of citrus, it’s summer in a glass - no matter the season. Crisp, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable, this Marlborough charmer is made for long lunches, beachside flings, and saying “just one more” (you know you will).
