Barbecue Hire: Add Some Sizzle to Your Stay

Want to enjoy a classic Kiwi cook-up during your stay? We offer a selection of stylish, easy-to-use barbecues available for hire across our Host’d properties.

How it works:

Choose your preferred barbecue model from our curated list (see below).

  • Text or call Scott to book it in — first in, first served.

    • Scott Bradley: +64 284114838

  • Scott will deliver it to your property, and collect it the next day (or later, you decide).

  • It’s a one-off $50 hire fee, regardless of how many days you keep it.

  • A $50 cleaning bond also applies. If it’s returned clean, you’ll receive a full refund. Otherwise, the bond covers professional cleaning.

Why we do this:

We love a good barbecue - but cleaning them after someone else’s feast? Not so much. Offering this as a separate service helps keep our homes fresh, owners happy, and your cook-up hassle-free.

    We’d love to share something special - our dear friend Heidi, the wonderful soul behind Alchemy & Storm, has recently opened her very own salad bar!

    Here you’ll find nourishing salads, homemade hot soups, raw slices, and a delightful selection of pastries – all made with heart. They also stock locally made sourdough, perfect for pairing with a wholesome lunch or taking away for later.

    Seasonal hours:
    Winter (June - Sept): Wednesday to Saturday
    Summer (Oct - May): Tuesday to Saturday

    Open from 10 AM to 2 PM
