We’ve put together a visual guide to help you find your way to Halcyon Point, as the Google Maps route update is still on its way:
📍If you’re coming from Hokitika town (heading south on State Highway 6), you’ll turn right off the highway - follow the red arrows shown in the image to wind your way up to the property.
📍If you’re coming from the south (e.g. from Ross or the glaciers) you’ll be heading north, and you’ll need to turn left off the highway - same route, just from the other direction.
Once you're on the access road, just follow it gently up through the forest - it’s a bit tucked away, but well worth the journey!
The driveway is directly across from the end of the last pond - something to watch for as it can come up quickly, especially with the highway being fast-moving. Look out for this little white “B” sign (with 196 on it) on the roadside: this is your entry point.
You’ll pass through this gate as you begin your journey up - you’re on the right track!
Continue along this road through the trees - Halcyon Point is just a short drive ahead!!
