Stove & Oven

A quick switch check is all you need before getting started.

01

Hob and oven

The switches operating the hob and oven are located behind the Nespresso machine. Before cooking, check that both switches are turned on.

02

Range hood

The range hood switch is on the right-hand wall, just beneath the knife rack. We recommend using it whenever the hob is on to keep the cooking area comfortably ventilated.

BBQ Rental

$30

Rental fee
per stay

A BBQ is available during your stay for a $30 rental fee. This helps us cover regular cleaning, maintenance and keeping it in excellent condition for everyone to enjoy.

Please let us know in advance if you would like to use it, so our team can have it set up and ready for you.

Step-by-step instructions Using the Weber kettle BBQ
01

Prepare the barbecue

  • Check that the ash catcher, bowl and cooking grates are clear and ready to use.
  • Open the bottom vents fully to allow good airflow.
02

Light the charcoal

  • Fill a chimney starter with charcoal briquettes.
  • Place crumpled newspaper or a fire starter underneath and light it.
  • Allow approximately 15 to 20 minutes for the coals to turn pale, white and ashy.
  • Carefully pour the hot coals onto the charcoal grate.
03

Set up for cooking

  • For direct heat, spread the coals evenly across the grate.
  • For indirect heat, move the coals to one side to create two separate cooking zones.
  • Place the cooking grate on top and preheat it for around five minutes with the lid closed.
04

Control the temperature

  • Leave the top and bottom vents fully open for higher heat.
  • Partially close the vents to gently lower the temperature.
  • Keep the lid closed as much as possible to maintain consistent heat.
05

Grilling

  • Use direct heat for searing and food that cooks quickly.
  • Use indirect heat for slower cooking and larger cuts.
  • Use a food thermometer to check that meat is safely and evenly cooked.
06

When you have finished

  • Close both the top and bottom vents to extinguish the charcoal.
  • Allow the BBQ and coals to cool completely.
  • Leave the cooled BBQ safely in place for our team to clean.
